Kunhan Li is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University with the GEOCLOUD project. His research focuses on comparative policy analysis, investigating how governments in Europe, East and Southeast Asia, the U.S., and China shape cloud infrastructures through policy interventions, and assessing their implications for digital sovereignty and the global geography of computation.
Kunhan holds a PhD in History and Politics from the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China, and had previous education in International Relations at the University of Chicago and the University of Nottingham, UK. His broader research interests include International Relations theories, great power politics, politics of science and technology, and space politics.
